Livermore Homestead: an 1800's COLORADO HOMESTEAD with a story.
Living in Colorado for most of my life, it was inevitable that I would help my clients sell and buy homes in the foothill mountains outside of the Denver Metro area. When I listed this client's home for sale in Bailey they had their heart set on this amazing original Colorado homestead sited in Livermore, Colorado.
It was definitely a one-of-a-kind Homestead with the original historical 1 room log cabin that also included the original stove! The main house, a Craftsman style Cottage, still has all the charm of 1925 with originally wood flooring, a stone fireplace, post and beam construction, tons of solid wood built-in bookcases and solid wood doors. The home was built on solid bedrock and over time the wood flooring took on the curvature of the stone which resulted in a little boy's Hot Wheel's dream course!
The 40 acre site is surrounded by hills and includes Rabbit Creek running through the meadows and is surrounded by perennial gardens and deciduous shade trees.
The modern barn includes: 3,072 sq ft, vet room, 1/2 bath, enclosed loft, tack room, rec room, 8 stalls w/ runs along side the original barn and multiple sheds.
